May events at Pelham and Swift River

NEW SALEM - The Swift River Valley Historical Society will show videos from its film archives on Saturday, May 16 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Society's Prescott Church Museum at 40 Elm St. The event is free and open to the public.

Films include images and stories about the towns and people who were affected by the creation of the Quabbin Reservoir. For more information about the film night or about the museum, contact Elizabeth Peirce, president, at 978-544-6207.
PELHAM - The Pelham Historical Society on Monday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ramsdell Room of the Community Center in Pelham. Following a short business meeting. Douglas Kimball from Auction and Estate Services will describe and appraise one item for each person attending.
